ABOUT

M/S Lyngøy is a traditional Norwegian fishing boat used for trawling back in the days. Today M/S Lyngøy is updated for charter trips in Ryfylke and Stavanger for groups up to 12 persons. Owning company Ryfylke Charter, is a public company in Norway and operated under Sjøfartsdirektorates (Norwegian Marine Government) rules and regulations for safe maritime operations.

We arrange voyages in beautiful Ryfylke e.g. sightseeing, fishing or company outings. Please contact us to discuss what we can do for you. Our home port is Hjelmeland, but we can arrange a pick-up at other locations as well.

THE BOAT

49" feet of history. Built in Flekkefjord in southern Norway in 1958, has spent most of her time in Sogn before moving to her new home in Randøy, Ryfylke in Rogaland in 2018.

Come on board and get a feel for the way Norwegians have traveled fjords and oceans for generations and be part of a long standing and proud history of using the sea for catching food, transport, and leisure.

2.5 hour trip to the wild and spectacular Jøsenfjorden - see the Skomagarnibbå from the sea - try deep-sea fishing (bring your own kit) or just enjoy the view and fresh air.

3 hour trip to the nearby islands Halsne, Byre, Finnøy, and Børøy. Enjoy a slow voyage through the cultural landscape where people have lived for many thousands of years since the ice cap withdrew from Norway.
